Be Direct, Not Distracted

51“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” 52“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. Mark 10:51-52

I was on my way to speak at a church and I noticed a young man walking on the sidewalk. GOD put him very strongly on my heart, so very quickly I got his attention and started speaking with him. GOD’s timing is amazing! I was able to talk with and he prayed to give his life to JESUS! He was in desperate need of JESUS and GOD wanted to touch his life in a powerful way! I had to be direct in sharing the Good News and not distracted! All praise to JESUS!

What has GOD called you to do? What do you need JESUS to do for you? It’s important for us to be direct and honest in the relationship that JESUS has given us with HIM. GOD knows what you need before you even ask. JESUS wants you to come to HIM knowing that HE will always do what HE has promised to do! Can you remember the last time that you got distracted with something of less importance than what GOD has called you to do? By the HOLY SPIRIT, we can stay focused on what really matters in this life such as the glory of GOD, the souls of people and the good of others!

Action Point

Take some time to pray today and think about these 2 questions. What do you need JESUS to do for you? What has been distracting you from GOD’s calling and GOD’s best for your life? Let’s refocus and let’s not make everything complicated! Like the old song goes, “Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” JESUS is with you, JESUS loves you and JESUS is for you! Take some time to share JESUS and encourage someone today! Expect miracles!
