Did You Notice That Person?

8Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” 9At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. John 5:8

I remember one time in NYC when I was on the sidewalk. I turned at the corner of a building and walked past a man who looked to be homeless. GOD very strongly put him on my heart. I turned around and started a conversation with him. Someone walking by gave a rude remark. I didn’t care as this man needed JESUS! I talked with him and then shortly after he prayed to give his life to JESUS! Heaven is rejoicing! This man could now begin to experience what GOD has for his life. JESUS gets all of the praise!

Can you remember the last time you were in a conversation where people were talking about other people? Can you remember the last time when you were constantly on your phone and didn’t really notice many people around you? It is a tragedy for me to see so many people distracted and talking about other people. As a child of GOD, you and I are called to represent JESUS and to reach out to the broken and hurting people around us (no matter what people say about us)! JESUS wants to work powerfully through believers today!

Action Point

Don’t let a miracle pass by you today! Made a decision to be in an attitude of prayer and notice the people around you. Look for someone that you can encourage and share JESUS with wherever you have to go. Let’s notice the hurting and broken people around us today. And let’s share with them the only ONE WHO can heal every hurt - our LORD JESUS CHRIST!
