Praying In The NAME Of JESUS  

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Acts 3:6  

Yesterday, I stopped at a Wal-Mart to pick up some flyers from the Fed-Ex inside. One of my favorite Fed-Ex locations! As I was walking inside, a lady in the parking lot said something to me. The HOLY SPIRIT led me to talk with her and her friend. It was an amazing Divine Appointment. I prayed with those 2 precious ladies to give everything to JESUS and then I prayed for them. GOD revealed some things to me when I was praying and they were touched in a powerful way! JESUS gets all of the glory! There is so much power when we pray in the NAME of JESUS!  

Do you understand what it means to pray in the NAME of JESUS? Or do you just say it at the end of your prayers as a habit? With knowledge and understanding comes power! My friend, it can radically transform your life if you understand what it means to pray and to take authority in JESUS’ NAME!  

ACTION POINT

Praying in JESUS’ NAME is praying from the Truth that we are in CHRIST! It is based upon WHO JESUS is and what HE has done! In simple terms, praying in JESUS’ NAME is praying as if JESUS is praying through you! In some passages, praying has the idea of commanding with authority based upon The WORD of GOD! Remember, the Bible says, “whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” Remember, when you pray in The NAME of JESUS, that you are praying based on what HE has done and not what you have done! Go bless someone today - in JESUS’ NAME!
