The Great Joy Of Great Sacrifice

Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”), 37sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet. Acts 4:36

There is a miraculous story of a man by the name of Sadhu Sundar Singh. He was born in India and had resolved to kill himself as he was seeking after the true GOD. Shortly before he was to go forward with his plans, JESUS appeared to him. Singh then gave his life to the LORD JESUS CHRIST and would follow HIM for the rest of his life. He was persecuted and shunned by his own family. He was poisoned multiple times. However, GOD kept him alive to do what HE had called him to do. Singh stated, "I am not worthy to follow in the steps of my Lord," he said, "but, like Him, I want no home, no possessions. Like Him I will belong to the road, sharing the suffering of my people, eating with those who will give me shelter, and telling all men of the love of God." Many lives are still being touched today by what JESUS did through the life of Sadhu Sundar Singh.

One of the greatest joys in the Christian life is sacrificing what you have for good of others. What are you sacrificing so that men, women, boys, and girls come to know JESUS CHRIST? What can you sacrifice to see people blessed and lives transformed? My friend, GOD can work miracles in and through your life as you live a life completely surrendered to JESUS and sacrificing what you have as led by the HOLY SPIRIT!

Action Point

Think of something that you can sacrifice today in order to bless someone and give JESUS all of the glory. Do whatever the HOLY SPIRIT tells you to do. Miracles will happen as you follow the HOLY SPIRIT and live a life of sacrifice for the glory of GOD, the souls of people, and the good of others!

Have a great day and GOD bless you!
