What Is Stopping You From Praying For The Sick?

Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them. Mark 1:30-31

A friend once told me that she had a headache. She asked me if we had any advil or ibuprofen. I asked if I could pray for her. Before I even finished praying, the headache was completely gone! Only JESUS can do that!

Why did the church ever begin to believe that it’s not GOD’s will to heal? That goes against Scripture and against the very nature of GOD. My friend, it is always GOD’s will to heal! We desperately need men and women of GOD who are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT to go forth praying for the sick and seeing them recover. This is for the glory of GOD and so that many people may give their lives to JESUS!

Action Point

Pray and ask GOD who he wants you to pray for today. Think of someone who is sick that you can visit or call. Pray for this person as if it’s the last time you will ever be able to pray for someone! Leave all the results to JESUS and keep moving forward praying for the sick! Remember what the Bible says, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
